Thanks for your vote!
When choosing someone to represent you, I invited you to consider someone that understands agency. Someone without arrogance and who will seek wise counsel. Someone who understands and adopts true and correct principles.
I ran for the Utah House of Representatives to represent you and your family.
We need to defend our God-given rights.
Fossil Fuel Lifts the World from Poverty!
People in Third World countries spend 80% of their day acquiring food for the next day. Thanks to fossil fuel, babies live. In Third World countries, the power goes off at night. When the power goes out, incubators go off, oxygen tanks stop, stop lights stop working. Replace it with solar and wind, right? Three-percent of this country’s power comes from a combination of wind and solar. Where would you allocate the power?
Thanks to fossil fuel, scientists can spend time inventing vaccines, engineers can spend time improving efficiency of machinery. Many more people die from cold exposure than from heat, so, is global warming the true threat?
The first solar panel was introduced in 1880. Eight years later the gas fired engine was introduced. When the free market was unrestrained, the world prospered.
Thanks to fossil fuel, the lifespan is now double what it was 100 years ago, (about the time Biden began his political career).
It’s time to stop accepting the lies and get it right!
Defending Land Ownership - Beware of Proposed Natural Asset Companies
Unlike other types of companies, the purpose of a Natural Asset Company (NAC) is to control what you can do on your land. If this were to succeed, you may own your property, but you could not emit anything into the atmosphere because someone else would own the atmosphere directly above your chimney or exhaust pipe of your car.
There are those who desire to control us at the very highest levels of government. Never take the eye off the ball.
I defend private and public land ownership.
Standing Up for Parents
Parents are primarily responsible for their children’s education. We allow teachers to responsibly educate our children. Local School Boards are elected to monitor what is taught in our local schools.
Together we can limit the overreach of state and federal government to keep them from interfering with the school boards and education associations to ensure appropriate educational success for our children.
Rejecting Global Warming
We used to learn that trees and plants needed carbon dioxide (CO2) to grow. Now CO2 is considered poison to the very life of the planet.
Can we stop with the lies and deception? There are no doubts pollutants contaminate our atmosphere. CO2 is not one of them.
Oceans make up 86% of the Earths mass. Every time anything living dies, it returns to carbo—flora in the oceans, sharks, rabbits, skunks, trees, brush—it all turns to carbon.
We have a responsibility to be good stewards of the earth. When we consider our role in this world, raising the world from poverty should be a priority. A rising tide raises all ships. The world looks to the United States for stability. Liberal agendas for control eliminate our ability to reach out and lift the world.
Global warming has been debunked by thousands of scientists but because they don’t follow the liberal narrative, their voice is drowned out. We call for a rational response to the real science of climate change.
Rejecting the Pronoun Lie
When Elon Musk when asked: “Why don’t you refer to a person by their preferred pronoun?" he replied,  "I refuse to begin a conversation with a lie."
Educational Choice
The agenda of the Liberals is to control our educational system. Today, choice in education is the law. Ultimately, we elect school board members to monitor the education of our children. I expect as elected representatives, they will continually find the best way for our children to be protected and educated. They are elected, let’s hold all elected officials accountable.
Parents know what’s best for their children. They should have freedom to choose how, where, and what environment will best serve each child.
Defending Public Lands
Lands within Utah’s borders should be controlled and managed in Utah by those who live, work, ranch, and recreate here—not by federal bureaucrats back East.
Public lands include federal, state and SITLA lands. When Utah first established statehood, there was a survey of the entire state. Townships, ranges and sections were established. Each section 2, 16, 32 & 36 were set aside as lands that would fund our schools. This fund rose to millions and millions of dollars. Instead of leaving this money alone, the state decided that it needed 50% of the money to be transferred to the general fund and our schools were robbed.
These funds needs to be reestablished and protected for the education of our children, and not for more bloated government.
Fiscal Conservative
I was asked by an opponent in this race, “How would you get additional money into education as property tax is now at a maximum level?"
We really need to look beyond government and taxing to solve spending problems.
At this point, I don’t know if we need more money into education. I honestly don’t know.. There are so many holes in the bucket of education that money is running out all over the ground. We must first plug the holes in the bucket. To me, the entire system seems backwards.
Why is funding requests not generated from a school board to the state school board and onto the legislature to fund? Instead, it appears the legislature tries to identify what needs the schools have and begins the debate about what is best. Tintic High School does not have the same needs as West High School. To me, these appear to be school board issues.
The legislature's job should be to fund schools based on requests—not approaching a one-size-fits-all solution.

Questions & Answers

Question:
What does your slogan “Agency is the Answer” mean?
Answer:
I believe in people. I trust that people will make wise decisions if we can get the government out of the way. All should be encouraged to make the decisions that are best for them and their families. No government entity should dictate an action that removes freedom from an individual. We are a nation of laws. If you break the law, you pay the price.
It's a problem when government takes away agency. The government must be held accountable.
When deciding which candidate to support on a local, state or federal level, first consider; does this person believe in agency? Can you see in their attitude that they are open for discussion, or is it "my way, or go away"?
Question:
Why did you run for the Utah House of Representatives and what are your goals?
Answer:
I have always believed a "representative" is one who truly represents the population that elected them. When “we the people” feel like the government is stepping on us, we must have representation to hold government employees and agencies accountable. It’s the responsibility of the people's representatives to hold government accountable. That's my goal.
I'm at a time in my life when I'm available and have a desire to serve. I have experience holding government accountable. I want to use my experience to help my neighbors in Sanpete and Juab counties.
Question:
What is your understanding of Environmental Social Governance?
Answer:
Control of our lives is at risk with ESG. This is not just some future prediction. Look at Dunn and Bradstreet. Look up literally any business you know, and it will display an ESG score. The goal of ESG is that you cannot function as a business unless you have a good ESG score. Forget how creditworthy or responsible at operating a business you have been if you don’t conform to the ESG dictates. This is governmental control at a high level. We need to expect our next Attorney General to oppose the overreach of ESG.
Question:
How do you feel about abortion?
Answer:
Being pro or con abortion really isn’t the heart of the question.
A persons agency MUST remain intact. When a man and woman engage in sex, the “likely” natural result (consequence) is pregnancy. The choice has been made. If you are asking me to support a law that limits the natural consequences of a previous choice, I cannot support laws to limit consequences.
I am against any termination of a viable pregnancy except as necessary to save the life of the mother or in the case of rape or incest. Abortion should never be considered for lifestyle convenience.
Question:
What is your stance on birth control?
Answer:
Methods for preventing pregnancy are up to the individual.
Question:
Do you support teaching CRT (Critical Race Theory) in schools?
Answer:
No. This is an issue that should be handled by our local school boards.
Question:
Do you support gay marriage?
Answer:
Even if legal, I am not in favor of Gay Marriage based on my religious beliefs. This doesn’t mean I don’t love members of the LGTBQ+ community. Everyone is a precious members of God’s family and deserve to be treated with love and respect.
Question:
What is your view on transgender athletes participating in women's sports?
Answer:
I believe that we are all equal and as such have the same basic human rights and the rights granted under the constitution of the United States to live our lives as we see fit. We do not have the right to trample over others rights. Biological males may identify as female but they may not participate in biological female sports as this tramples on the rights of women.
